Who We Are

The David Silden Brass Ensemble is an informal group of musicians in the Charlotte Metropolitan region. It includes approximately 125 musicians who perform their music on trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium and tuba. They gather once a year to present a program of music written for the large (ten and above) brass ensemble.

Within this ensemble there are many smaller groups of four, five, six and some times larger numbers of brass instruments that perform more often.

The Charlotte Tuba Euphonium Ensemble is a group of low brass specialist (amateurs as well as professionals) who enjoy performing original music and transcriptions written just for their instruments. See below for a calendar of their events.

The David Silden Brass Quintet presents all styles and genera's of brass music.

A group of instrumentalists that has organized as a result of their experiences within The David Silden Brass Ensemble is the "Charlotte Horn Society." You will be hearing more from them in the future.
